Why Yes, I Did See the Biggest Band in the World...

Earlier this week, after a lifetime (almost) of waiting, I saw the biggest band in the world...

U2!

Yes, last year I bought tickets to see U2, and wouldn't you know it, Bono had emergency back surgery a few weeks before the show and they had to postpone for almost a year.  The show finally happened on Tuesday, and it was the best concert I have ever seen in my life.  They sounded amazing live.  If I were half as cool as Bono or The Edge I would die a happy man.  And I must say, hearing them in person gave me a new appreciation of Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton.  They are quite a talented bunch! Here's some pics.

The Claw! Claw is our master! The Claw decides who will stay and who will go! Seriously, this was such an awesome set.  It was ginormous, and they actually have three of them because it takes four days to set up, so while this one was used in Salt Lake, the others were in other parts of the country getting ready for the bands' future shows.

Concert was great! I only slightly regret that I didn't spring for floor tickets and camp out to be right in front of the stage.  They looked like they were having a blast!  In closing, a word of advice.  If you get a chance to see U2 live, go!
